New World meets Old World with scents of raspberry, rose petal, dust and underbrush. Flavors of cranberry, spice, fennel and herb grow in intensity towards a moderately long finish with welcoming tannins that support a dry finish.
Not like a typical Dolcetto. This wine is delicious and perfectly well paired with a fat steak! Medium to full-bodied, yet retains the candied cherry, licorice and almond flavors, characteristics of the Dolcetto's Italian heritage.
One of my personal favourites. Beautiful blend of Syrah (60%), Dolcetto (20%) and Grenache (20%). Rich nose of ripe plum, boysenberry, and black pepper. But on the palate, it is an explosion of flavors. A real breakdown of the grape varietals' aromatic profile. First, you have the heavier plum, black cherry aromas from the Syrah, followed by the strawberry notes of the Grenache and finally the Dolcetto coming in for the finish with hints of dried rose petals, black pepper and slight under-brush. Nice moderate tannin that grabs the palate. Elegant, smooth and silky. Easy to drink.
Very surprising wine! Perfect for the Hong Kong heat (and humidity).
Unique tropical fruit flavors with notes of quince, lemon and green apple. Bright acidity. Elegant.
Good to have on its own or to pair with citrus seafood entree.
